Our Mission

Get Involved

Casteism Studies is an independent academic and community initiative founded and led by Dr Vikrant Kishore, filmmaker, researcher, and Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

The platform brings together research, documentary practice, and social engagement focused on caste discrimination, equality, and resistance movements in South Asia and its diasporas.

Casteism Studies functions as a space for dialogue between academics, activists, filmmakers, and students committed to anti-caste thought. It promotes evidence-based research, public education, and creative practice exploring caste’s historical roots, its modern forms, and global implications.

Mission

To document and analyse caste discrimination and anti-caste struggles across communities.
To support Dalit, Adivasi, and Indigenous voices through digital media and cultural research.
To build global awareness and policy engagement against caste oppression.
